[ARCHIVED] Sunnyside Artists Sought for New Exhibit

The Sunnyside Museum will host an ongoing art exhibit through this spring and summer and artists from the community are invited to submit their work for consideration.

The exhibit will launch in conjunction with the muse-um's spring open house on Saturday, April 18, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

A meet and greet artist's reception will be held at the museum on Friday, April 17, from 6 to 8 p.m.

A joint effort of the Sunnyside Museum Board and the Sunnyside Arts Commission, the exhibit will rotate art works throughout the summer months.

Artists who would like to have their work considered should call Kathy Rogers of the Sunnyside Arts Commission at 830-6637 or e-mail krogers@sunnyside-wa.gov.

The exhibit is open to all art forms and artists must reside within the Sunnyside School District boundaries to be considered.

March 12 is the cut-off date for artists to submit their work for consideration for the April 18 open house. However, artists are invited to submit their work for consideration throughout the spring and summer for rotating exhibits at the museum.

The Sunnyside Arts Commission will hold a workshop on Thursday, March 12, at 6 p.m. at Sunnyside City Hall to review the exhibit's initial entries for the April 18 open house.
