[ARCHIVED] Information Regarding SHS Lock-Down

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

On 11/14/2014 at approximately 1:30 pm, Sunnyside Police responded to a report of a student with a possible weapon at the Sunnyside High School. Due to the seriousness nature of the report, the Sunnyside High School was placed on Lock-Down by school administration and Officers from the Sunnyside Police Department and Yakima County Sheriff's Office responded to the scene. The campus was searched to locate the student in question and the area they were discovered in was also thoroughly searched to ensure no weapon was discarded. Once the situation was under control the school was taken off Lock-Down.

Case was determined to be unfounded.
