COVID-19 Updates from the City Manager

The state has reopened!

On June 30, Governor Jay Inslee lifted most COVID-19 restrictions. Whether or not you are vaccinated you still need to wear a mask in indoor public settings.

Data Summary

To view the most current Yakima County COVID-19 Data visit the Yakima County Health District's Data website. Case counts are updated Monday to Friday. Saturday and Sunday's numbers will be included in Monday's update. Deaths are not reported on the weekends.

Testing:

  • The Sunnyside Community Center testing site at 1521 S. 1st Street, Sunnyside - Will open soon, and getting tested will be free, fast, and easy! More information to come soon.
  • Yakima Neighborhood Health Services 617 Scoon Road, Sunnyside - Free tests. Appointments are recommended but walk-ins are welcome. Call the clinic for more information on testing hours 509-837-8200.
  • Yakima Valley Farmworkers Clinic Immediate Care 2680 Yakima Valley Highway, Suite B, Sunnyside - Free tests. Appointments are required. Call the clinic for more information on testing hours 509-839-300.

COVID-19 Vaccine

Individuals 12 years and older are eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine in Washington State. COVID-19 vaccines are 100% free to all individuals, regardless of insurance and immigration status. Visit the Yakima County Health Districts website for Community COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic.
