Department Responsibilities
The city’s Finance Department provides a variety of services to citizens, businesses, City officials and departments. The Department has two main areas of concentration: Accounting and Utility Billing (Customer Service). The Finance Department is responsible for financial and budgetary control of the city. The Department provides accounting and reporting for general ledger, payroll, accounts payable and receivable, investments, debt, grants, fixed assets and capital projects. Utility Billing (Customer Service) performs utility billing and related inquiries as well as assisting customers on a daily basis.
Accounting - Responsible for the supervision and accountability of the city's resources through fiscally prudent budgeting, accounting, and reporting.
Utility Billing (Customer Service) - Responsible for assisting customers and receiving payments.
