Medic 17, 27, and 37- All three vehicles are 2006 Lifeline Ambulances mounted on Ford E-450 Chassis. These units were designed by the Sunnyside Fire department and built by Life Line Emergency Vehicles, Inc in Sumner, Iowa. These units were put in service in November 2006. They are equipped with a Stryker EZ-Pro Rugged cot and Stair Chair for moving patients. They have the most up-to-date Cardiac heart monitors developed by Zoll Medical. Each monitor is 12-lead capable, and monitor blood pressures, oxygen saturation, and carbon dioxide out-puts of the patient.
Command Vehicle 116- This vehicle is a 2005 Chevy Tahoe and used by the Fire Chief as a response vehicle.
Command Vehicle 117- This vehicle is a 2005 Chevy Silverado Crew cab 1/2 ton pickup and used by the Deputy Chief in charge of training
Sunnyside Engine 213- This engine was manufactured by Rosenbauer America in Sioux Falls, SD and was purchased through General Fire in Spokane, WA in 2004.
Engine 213 is jointly owned by the City of Sunnyside and Yakima County Fire District #5. It is built on a Freightliner FL80 chassis with a Cummins 330 hp diesel engine and an Allison transmission. The apparatus has a 1750 gpm Waterous pump, 750 gallon booster tank, an electronic Foam Pro system, and an all electrical operated control valves.
